Qualifiers in profile metadata dates

Insert a metaDescribes with predicate with a value of the name of the qualifier, when capturing a date with particular formatting that indicates a qualifier is needed. The names of the qualifiers are: alternate, uncertain, none, before, after, circa, in or before, in or after, century, and probably. Set the metaDescribes to 'yes'.

Dates in source data may contain a qualifier of the following kind:

  • alternate
  • uncertain
  • none (see 'None' profile metadata)
  • before
  • after
  • circa
  • in or before
  • in or after
  • century
  • probably

    Insert a metaDescribes with predicate="probably" and value yes when capturing a date associated with the key word "probably".
