European Court of Justice Case Reports

ECJ Case reports are a subtype of case report.

They can be identified by the combination of the following two references:

  • An ECR Reference of the form ECR I-1234 or ECR 1234

And one of the following:

  • A C number in the form C-123/YY, or
  • A case reference number in a 123/YY format

References to ECR case reports that are not CFI case report references are generally ECJ case report references.

A legisNum attribute taken from the numbers preceding the slash in the C number or case reference, and the bibItem should be assigned the court value of “ECJ”.

ECJ case references are often included in their own table of cases.
