Oxford University Press Text Capture Instructions

Headword referencing co-subjects

Where co-subject names have been identified in the manuscript, capture these inside both a headword and nameGrp element, respectively.

HW

Co-subject name

Only references a co-subject name when used throughout the main text of an article, as opposed to at the top of an article, where it is the main headword to the entry

Where a the subject of a co-subject entry is mentioned in another article, they must be captured with particular markup.

Co-subject names will be identified in the manuscript by editorial, and should be subsequently typecoded with the HW typecode. Capture these names using both both a headword and nameGrp element. Ensure that the headword has an id. These headwords will be referenced by the co-subject entries.
