Feature boxes (Challenging Concepts)
A list of the features and their role values in the Challenging
Cases
books.
Capture features according to the core instructions on themed features. Instead of using the typecode number, use the number in the table below as the role value.
Mark content according to the structure present. When a feature typecode is present mark that structure with the role attribute. For instance, if a feature occurs within the margin, capture it as a note with type="marginalNote" and role="FT#". If a feature occurs within the normal divisions of the text, capture it as boxedMatter or at the appropriate div[1-7,N] level and mark it with a role="FT#". And so on for other structures that may be features.
Capture the feature type in the supertitle element. The feature type is provided in the first column of the table below, and will often be bold before the main title in the print box.
For all features, determine the placement by looking for a placement callout in the typesetting file.
For the book Challenging Concepts in Cardiovascular Medicine
OUP provide a marked up
proof which indicates where to place the features in the XML.
