Oxford University Press Text Capture Instructions

Legal Classes

Legal classes include international instruments, institutional rules, EU legislation, Foreign Domestic Legislation, UN documents, and cases and arbitration awards. Each of these classes then includes further sub-divisions.

Populate the idnumber attribute of bibItem elements of the legal class. This attribute is required unless the confirmation attribute is used, and then only be agreement with OUP.

When tables of authorities for new editions are supplied with supplementary information that defines unique 'AFES GUIDs', capture the 'AFES GUID' value within afesid. These take the form of 32-digit GUIDs, for example: ccddf564-1998-4e1d-9746-a349dfc13995. These will be supplied by OUP for selected new editions.
