Deliver files in a zip archive with filename in the format med-ISBN13-AuthorName.
At the proofing stage if you are capturing chapters or sections individually, cross-reference targets can be external to the XML that you are capturing. In these cases, create cross-references with a self-referencing ref attribute.
Indexes are captured as in the general information on indexes. Additional rules follow for typography as display="print".
Capture a box-structure as boxedMatter if it has a heading that contains the word Box or if it is a feature with role='FT#' that has been identified as a box structure, or if it is a floating box structure that cannot be appropriately captured as emphasized text. Capture other, anchored box-like structures as emphasised text using the role="emphasis" attribute.
Where ranges appear in the text, capture the cross reference to the start of the range and to the end of the range. That is in the xrefGrp capture two xref elements. For page ranges, capture two pageNum children, each pageNum containing an xref in the xrefGrp.
Not all p numbers are page numbers. Medical text books contain references to molecular and cell biology and these use a wide range of reference numbers some of which begin with a p. Capture these as plain text, not the pageNum element.
For medicine family products, OUP will supply an abstract and keywords for each chapter. Capture all chapters with an abstract in an abstract and keywords in keySubjectWords. If abstracts or keywords are not provided, query with OUP.
