COTUS Monographs Division levels

To ensure that similar segments are on the same level across a chapter, create dummy div[1-7,N] elements.

This rule does not include the partFrontMatter or part one.

The structure of the divisions may not always be the same between the TOC and the main text of the book. When there is a conflict, use the structure of the main text.

It is best to work out the chapter with the most levels first, and then use that as a basis for the rest.

The div[1-7,N] structure and any dummy elements are unique to each book.

    Sequential numbering can be misleading. Keep sections with the same text formatting at the same division level independent of their enumeration.

    Capture extract headings outside of the extract element and treat these as div[1-7,N] headings in their own right within the div[1-7,N] that exists in the main text.
