Oxford University Press Text Capture Instructions

This section of information will be handed over by EDD as a spreadsheet during the content update workflow. This spreadsheet will detail the chapter number that has changed, the chapter title, and version summary comments noting whether substantial or minor changes have occurred, or if the chapter was simply reviewed.

If this is the first time the book has been updated, capture this information in a new miscMatter class="updates" display="online". Create a div1 titled 'Updates', and a div1 titled with the date of the update. In the Updates division, capture an xref to the div1 with the date of the update.

If this is not the first time the book has been updated, then update the existing 'Amendments and Updates' page. Add a new div1 titled with the date of this update, below existing divN elements titled for previous updates. Link to this new div1 with a new xref within the 'Updates' div1.

Within div1 elements titled with the date of the update, there can be up to three div2 subheadings titled 'Substantial amendments made', 'Minor amendments made', and 'Chapter reviewed: no change required'. These subheadings should be created based on the type of updates included in the handover form. For each sub-heading, capture the chapter number and title in a list under the type of change made.
