Oxford University Press Text Capture Instructions

Headnote Analysis field

Capture the authored analysis of the case from the headnote Analysis field using the narrative text structure of the DTD (div[1-7,N] p) within the textMatter element.

headNote/commentSect/textMatter

Capture each paragraph within a separate div1 p element. Capture nested outline numbers using the nest structure for narrative text, i.e. using div2, div3 elements. Prefix paragraph numbers within the analysis with the letter A in an enumerator element.

Do not capture end punctuation from enumerators. For example, capture "A1." as, enumerator A1 /enumerator, without the full stop.

If a headnote is supplied without an Analysis field, convert the headnote as normal. Then, when the Analysis text becomes available, the OUP can send you the headnote for updating with the XML report.

When the Analysis field is filled in, there must also be content in the Commentator field to identify the author of the analysis.
