OXIO headnotes are captured as individual OxEncyclML entries.
OXIO headnotes are made up of a mixture of metadata fields and structured text. The following pages go through each field in the order in which they appear in the headnote document.
Capture the Document Title field as the entry headword
Capture the 'Category' field as a new section with role="intro", after the abstract and immediately before the headnote body content. The name of the case/treaty/act/etc should be marked up as a bibItem with all attributes present. The words 'Jump to full text' should be an extRef to the root of the source document.
Capture the originating or 'about' jurisdictions from the headnote within a jurisdiction or jurisdictionRelatedin the source document XML. Do not capture any jurisdiction information in the headnote XML.
Capture the date in the headnote in a metaDescribes element with a predicate of 'source-document-date'
Capture the Official Citation in the headnote in a metaDescribes element with a predicate of 'official-citation'
Capture the subjects listed in the Subject field using keyword within the keySubjectWords element
The OUP ID provides the ID number for use in OXIO element identifiers and DOIs.
Do not capture the citatorID in the headnote
Capture the root id of the associated source document in a metaDescribes element with attribute predicate="oxio-source-id".
Capture the Background and Analysis sections of the headnotes as section within e.
Capture the Further Analysis and Relevant Materials section of the headnotes as section within e.
Capture the reporter name(s) in the authors section.
Capture the date of headnote in the entry metaInfo versionDate in ISO YYYY-MM format.
Capture any references from the headnote document to the source document as extrefs
