Oxford University Press Text Capture Instructions

OXIO Source: capture of cases (OxLawRepML)

OXIO cases have slightly different requirements for capture. They require some additional metadata, which can be captured from the regular OXIO headnote and the section called 'For CASE LAW headnotes only'.

Map the metadata as follows:

/case/headNote
XML OXIO Headnote
/case/caseid
OUP ID
/case/caseMeta/versionInfo/versionDate
Date of Headnote
/case/headNote/caseName
Document Title
/case/headNote/caseName/caseNameOther
Other case name
/case/headNote/caseName/caseNameOther/@role
Other case name (type)
/case/headNote/caseDate
Date
/case/headNote/jurisdiction
Organization or state that this headnote is from (originating)
/caseheadNote/stageGrp/stage
Procedural stage
/case/headNote/citeGrp

The traditional citations field will not be provided, so the citeGrp should be constructed using the other fields:

date = Date

idnumber = Official Citation

party1 and party2 = parties fields

bibItemTitle = Document Title

/case/headNote/keyGrp/keyWrdGrp/keyWrd
Normal headnote: Subject
reporterGrp and issueGrp are not required.
