Oxford University Press Text Capture Instructions

BPS: Online-only Q&A divN structure

Create a div1 role="Q" titled Questions and a div1 role="A" titled Answers. Capture questions and answers from the Q&A template as div2 role="SBA-question" or div2 role="SBA-answer" respectively. For each question, create a unique enumerator of the form: n.nn.ONLINE that is applied on the question and corresponding answer.

In the textMatter of the document, create a new div1 role="Q" titled Questions and a div1 role="A" titled Answers.

Capture the questions from the Q&A template following the core instructions for Single Best Answer Questions. Each question in the template should be captured as a div2 role="SBA-question" and div2 role="SBA-answer" respectively. For each question, if not already enumerated, create a unique enumerator of the form: n.nn.ONLINE. Place this enumerator in the p role="scenario" of the question in the form Question n.nn.ONLINE and the first p of the answer in the form of Answer n.nn.ONLINE.

Capture the information from the template as follows:

  • The first 5 fields in the Q&A template can be ignored for the XML.
  • In the div2 role="SBA-question":
    • Capture the Stem as p role="scenario".
    • Capture the Lead In as p role="question".
    • Capture Answer A, B, C, D, etc as the list of answer options (where each is an item1 role="option"). Use the letter value as the enumerator on the item1. For example Answer A should be captured as:
      <enumerator>A</enumerator>
  • In the div2 role="SBA-answer":
    • Capture the letter value at the top of the answer as an xrefGrp role="Answer" linking back to the corresponding item1 option.
    • Capture the rest of the answer as a p role="explanation".
    • Capture the further reading reference at the bottom of the template as as extRef linking to the book and paragraph number specfied, that contains a span role="further-reading".
