COTUS Monographs enumerated headings and division levels
Sequential numbering can be misleading. Keep sections with the same text formatting at the same division level independent of their enumeration.
For example, all of the headings labelled Section
in the below example should be the same
div[1-7,N] division level, even though 2.1
is a sub-division of
2
. But there is nothing structurally, in the TOC or the main text, to indicate that
these should be on different levels; the sections are the same in every respect.
