For the ODNB product, all images must be sized at no more than 300px down the longest side. All other core instructions for images should be followed.

Note on Handover: For this product, text articles will be handed over as manuscripts along with a Transmittal Sheet (which is mapped to particular metadata sections covered by the TCIs below). Where manuscripts contain a DAM ID and are handed over DAM metadata export file, capture the manuscript as usual and capture an additional media article XML file.

For this product, the Transmittal Sheet will be provided as part of handover. The fields on that sheet map to the TCIs listed below - use the values provided on that sheet to capture the appropriate XML structures.

Where 'subject_entry' is denoted on this document and do not capture a @type on the headword.
Version Summary Only used on updating/versioning articles. See Updating the version information.
Author signature

Names of people and organizations - signature is provided as a single string in the following format:

Multiple authors are separated by a pipe '|'.
Taxonomy Taxonomy Terms in Entry Metadata - taxonomies are provided as 'TaxonomyName - Code', and are pipe '|' separated.
Version Date If a new article capture in metaDescribes predicate='onlinePubDate' following Metadata for publication dates, if a revised article amend the versionDate with this value following Updating the version information.
Relationships Use all five of these fields to follow the instructions in Entry Relationships in Metadata.
Serial Number The 'nn' serial number of the article to be edited (this article, and further information for it's capture is present in the 'Articles' tab)
Only used if DOI is not present (because article is new and not revised), and only used to identify the article to amend.
DOI The DOI of the article to be edited (this article, and further information for it's capture is present in the 'Articles' tab)
Only used to identify the article to amend.
Relation Type Defines whether the target article is a variant or an archive.
Related Article Serial Number The serial number of the target entry. Used to create metaDescribes @predicate='DOI'.
Only used if DOI is not present (because the target article is new and not revised)
Related Article DOI The DOI of the target entry. Used to create metaDescribes @predicate='DOI'.
