COTUS Monographs renumbered articles
If renumbered articles have bold headings in the table of contents (TOC) or are generally treated as chapters in the same book, capture them as a new chapter and crossreference the new article number to the appropriate chapter using an xrefGrp element.
In the below example from California (p. 354), capture both articles using
chapter. As the article was renumbered, create an
xrefGrp around the new number referenced and refer to the chapter id of
that article in the ref attribute. (i.e. in this example, Article XXVI has
been renumbered as Article XIX
. An xrefGrp should be used around Article XIX to
reference that chapter.)
