Oxford University Press Text Capture Instructions

bibItem page range

A reference to a chapter of a book or a journal article often includes a page range indicating the first and last pages.

ref_page Page range
//bibItem/@page
//bibItem/@pageLast

The number of the last page may appear in an abbreviated form, when the first digits in the page number are the same as those of the first page. For example, 143–69, meaning pages 143 to 169.

Capture the number of the first page in full in the page attribute.

Capture the number of the last page in full in the pageLast attribute, and not in the abbreviated form found in the text.

If a bibItem contains multiple page ranges, the page and pageLast should use the values from the first page range.
