OJ References
All European legislation is published in the Official Journal of the European Communities and
should have an OJ
reference which includes the following components:
- OJ followed immediately by:
- Series indicator (L, C, or S) followed immediately by:
- Volume number
- Page number
- Date (either in YYYY or dd.mm.yyyy format)
The Volume and Page number might appear separately (with the page number appearing after
p.
towards the end of the citation), or as a pair of numbers separated with a
/
slash.
For example: OJ L 99, 24.11.1971, p. 35
or [2004] OJ L 24/1
Capture OJ references in the @idnumber attribute in the preferred
OUP format: [YYYY] OJ L|C|S Vol/Page.
