BPS: Excluded Content
The Police Manuals apply mainly to the syllabus for the OSPRE® Part 1 examinations for Sergeants and Inspectors. Some parts of the content, however, will fall outside this syllabus, and this needs to be indicated in both the Manuals and the Q&As.
In the Manuals, the relevant text is 'blacklined', i.e. a solid or black line is shown to the left of the excluded content.
In the Q&As, excluded content is indicated by explanatory text at the start of a section.
This distinction may be applied to an entire chapter, or to a smaller section of content within a chapter. Wherever it applies, it should be indicated in the data, by using role="exclInsp" on divN elements:
