Oxford University Press Text Capture Instructions

Product and Publishing Group information

Capture a metaDescribes element with attribute predicate="publishing-group" within the metadata at root element level, chapter, e, appendix, miscMatter element with a specified class, and document level. If the XML is being created for a particular product, capture a sibling metaDescribes element with attribute predicate="product".

//metaDescribes[@predicate = "product"]
//metaDescribes[@predicate = "publishing-group"]

If you are not capturing XML for any product, for instance where the XML is generic XML captured as part of the XML-first workflow, set metaDescribes predicate="product" to NON-PRODUCT.

For UK material, OUP supply the publishing group information in the title passport. For US material, OUP supply the information in a typesetting brief. For Medicine titles, if the Country of Publication is GB, the publishing-group should be Medicine-UK and if the Country of Publication is US, the publishing-group should be Medicine-US.
