Max Planck Encyclopedia author names
Capture the name of each author (shown below the headword in italics) within a separate nameGrp element. Capture each name component in an appropriate attribute. Do not capture the italics.
e/section[role="authors"]
This information extends the general information.
If there are separators (commas, ampersands, etc.), capture them outside these elements.
In this section of the source document, do not capture italic text.
Current editorial style is to list each author on a new line. Capture these as individual nameGrp elements within the section as in the following example.
To help identify the mainName attribute, the copy editor underlines the author’s main name in the source article.
Author initials may be captured in the foreNames attribute, but this should not include a full stop.
