Oxford University Press Text Capture Instructions

Some Medical Textbooks have chapters with a section at the end called Additional Online Material.

The printed book simply contains a list of such materials; the XML however should include corresponding object (video, figure or text). The text that is displayed on the print version of this section should be used as a div2 heading in which to encompass the video/figure or text.

OUP provide an Excel spreadsheet with the video/image files to enable you to map the numbered items in the Additional Online Material section to the actual files on disk. This is used in the sysId of the graphic element for figures or the fileName attribute of the fileRef element for videos.

Example

The XML below doesn't match the picture above, but demonstrates an additional online material section that comprises:

• 2 videos
• 1 figure
• 1 text only section comprising of a table
• 1 text only section containing of a couple of headings.
