Regulations or instruments
A regulation element is a representation of an instrument in a single language and can contain front matter, main text and end matter.
/regGroup/regulation
Capture the English language version of the regulation in the first regulation element. To capture an instrument in more than one language, use separate regulation elements for each language.
Unless it is provided as a separate file (e.g. original language PDFs), each regulation element must have the same tagging structure at the level of sections and articles, i.e. the number and arrangement of the part, article, and div[1-7,N] elements, etc., within the regulation should be identical in all versions.
If an original language version is provided in PDF format, reference this file in a following sibling regulation element.
The regulation element may contain:
- frontMatter - any text preceding the title and contents
- mainText - the regulation itself (a compulsory element)
- endMatter - appendices and schedules
