Oxford University Press Text Capture Instructions

Headnote Facts field

Capture the facts of the case using the narrative text structure of the DTD (div[1-7,N] p) within the textMatter element.

headNote/factsSect/textMatter

Capture each numbered paragraph in a separate div1 p element. Capture nested outline numbers using the nested structure for narrative text, that is, using div2, div3 elements. Prefix paragraph numbers within Facts with the letter F in an enumerator element.

Do not capture end punctuation from enumerators. For example, capture "F1." as, enumerator F1 /enumerator, without the full stop.

Example

<div1 id="law-iic-1-2004-div1-1">
<p>
<enumerator>F1</enumerator>Though precise statistics are not available ...were employed
as forced labourers.</p>
<div2 id="law-iic-1-2004-div2-1"><p>
<enumerator>F1.1</enumerator>On 12 August 2000, a law establishing ...</p>
</div2>
<div2 id="law-iic-1-2004-div2-2"><p>
<enumerator>F1.2</enumerator>To date, 117,000 requests for compensation ...</p>
</div2>
</div1>
