Oxford University Press Text Capture Instructions

Award, Decision or Judgment

Awards, decisions or judgments (the decision) include an associated headnote document and contain information that you do not capture.

The decision is the transcript of the arbitral hearing as delivered by the place of arbitration (or court). This may be either a Word or PDF document. The decision sections of ORIL & IC law reports do not follow a standard format and require some interpretation of the textual structure. The DTD has a loose design to allow the capture of most structures. Decisions may be in any language, including non-roman script.

We deliver headnotes and decisions in accordance with a the file naming convention. You can then match the relevant headnote to a corresponding decision and produce a single XML report. Only convert decisions that are in roman script to XML. We provide non-roman script decisions in PDF format linked to the XML headnote.

If you have any questions relating to the markup of law reports ask your OUP contact for advice.
