Oxford University Press Text Capture Instructions

Medline numbers [@xxxxxxxx] in references

Within some medical or science references, the @ character followed by a number is a reference to a research paper or journal article. The number identifies an abstract in the Medline database.

Capture these as a bibItem with class='journalArticle'. In references, capture the Medline number in the idnumber attribute of the bibItem element. Capture idScheme='medline' on the bibItem. Capture the text including the square brackets [ ] in the content of the bibItem element.
