UN documents

All references to documents published by the United Nations or one of its agencies must be given a class attribute value of "UNdoc". The UN and its agencies publish two types of document: UN Resolutions and UN Reports.

Resolutions and Reports of the UN organs are published in the Official Record of the relevant body, and references may include an official citation and UN doc reference number, for example:

  • Report of the Human Rights Committee, GAOR, 58th Session Supplement No. 40 (Vol.I), at 100, U.N. Doc. A/58/40 (2002)
  • S.C. Res. 687, 46 U.N. SCOR at 200, U.N. Doc. S/RES/687 (1991)
United Nations Conventions and Charters should be marked up as International Instruments.
This class should only be used for reports and resolutions published by one of the organs or agencies of the UN.
