OBO cross-references

Capture cross-references to other sections within the same bibliography in xref elements. Capture cross-references to other bibliographies in different documents as extRef elements.

//xrefGrp/xref

The cross-reference text is indicated by surrounding asterisks. Remove the asterisks and:

  • For a cross-references to another section in the same bibliography, capture the cross-reference using an xref element within an xrefGrp group. Give the ref attribute of the xref element the value of the id attribute of the target section.
  • For cross-references to another bibliography, the target document id is provided in brackets after the link text. Capture the cross-reference using an extRef element with a docRef attribute containing the id of the target document.
