Decisions in non-Roman text (PDF files)
OUP will provide the headnote in English for you to convert to XML in accordance with these text capture instructions. Do not convert the decision file, instead capture a call out to the PDF filename as an attribute of the child fileRef element.
Capture call outs to PDFs as detailed in External PDF Files in Cases.
When preparing a PDF on a non-roman judgment, do not include any highlighting added by OUP to the source document to indicate passages with translations.
Where the decision is available in both original (non-roman) language and as an English translation, the English version must be captured first within the XML report (judgment type="trans"), followed by the call out to the original language PDF.
Example English first then call out
