Content shared between products
When a piece of content is to appear on more than one product, the same XML file is used for both products.
Capture in the metadata for the content the product code and any product grouping code for each product the XML file will appear on.
Ensure that the product code of the first product for which the XML has been initially captured is placed before the product code of any additional product(s).
The ID and DOI format is determined by the first product on which the content will appear. Do not change IDs or DOIs when a new product code is added.
The XML may need other amendments for a second product, depending on the specific instructions for that product. For example, OBSO requires markup to be added to references to chapters and verses of the Bible. But do not remove markup when updating XML for an additional product.
