Oxford Taxonomy

Capture Oxford Taxonomy classifications in a subj-group element with subj-group-type="category-taxonomy-collection"

For every journal article, capture the journal's default Oxford Taxonomy code values as provided by OUP. The collection codes must be prefixed with the collection ID in the form AcademicSubjects/[code].

Oxford Taxonomy classifications may be added manually to individual articles only on request of the OUP Digital Content team. Capture each manual taxonomy code for an article with a content-type="manual".

The Taxonomy Classifier Service (TCS) is an automated service developed by OUP for specific journals to enrich articles with appropriate subject taxonomy classifications. Any classes added by the TCS will have a subject content-type="classified".

If requested to override a TCS subject, add the correct subject following the example for Taxonomy added manually.
