Division-specific instructions for OUP capture

Acknowledge distinct usage of taggings for different divisions.

OUP uses the OUP BITS model across its Academic, Education, and English Language Teaching (ELT) divisions.

Where the same information is identified across divisions, the corresponding OUP BITS tagging is also consistent.

Some tagging defined in the OUP BITS TCI supports use cases, features, workflows, systems, or platforms that are specific to particular divisions. Such tagging must only be used by the divisions for which it is defined and must not be used by other divisions unless explicitly specified by OUP.

Content created by the Education and ELT divisions should be identifiable through the values assigned to the Divisional Identifier.

The information on this page is subject to change as divisions adopt new concepts. Changes will be communicated through the standard OUP BITS release notes. The taggings in these tables are reviewed and updated regularly; however, there may be instances where recent changes have not yet been captured.
