Abstract

Capture the abstract of an article, book, or book part in an abstract element with an abstract-type attribute.

Allowed values of the abstract-type attribute are:

  • abstract
  • audio
  • graphical
  • teaser
  • video

For journals, if an abstract contains more than one headed section, capture it as a Structured Abstract.

If an abstract contains more than one section, but not all content is within a headed section, query with OUP Digital Content.
